Frank Sinatra - Witchcraft

Frank Sinatra
Comp ; (C. Leigh, C. Coleman)

Those fingers in my hair
That sly come-hither stare
That strips my conscience bare
It's witchcraft

And I've got no defense for it
The heat is too intense for it
What good would common sense for it do?

'cause it's witchcraft, wicked witchcraft
And although I know it's strictly taboo
When you arouse the need in me
My heart says "Yes, indeed" in me
"Proceed with what you're leadin' me to"

It's such an ancient pitch
But one I wouldn't switch
'cause there's no nicer witch than you

[Orch. Int.]

'cause it's witchcraft, that crazy witchcraft
And although I know it's strictly taboo
When you arouse the need in me
My heart says "Yes, indeed" in me
"Proceed with what you're leadin' me to"

It's such an ancient pitch
But one I'd never switch
'cause there's no nicer witch than you

Fly Me To The Moon - Steve Lawrence

Frank Sinatra was a very good friend of Steve Lawrence, and Sinatra also served as Lawrence's Mentor. Since Lawrence knew most of Sinatra's songs by heart, Sinatra decided to give Lawrence a bunch of orchestrations for the Sinatra songs that Lawrence really loved.

Lawrence received those orchestrations one christmas, along with a note from Sinatra saying "I know how much you love these songs... Take it wherever you go." Lawrence decided to dedicate it to Sinatra as his mentor and friend, and from then on, "Steve Lawrence sings Sinatra - A Musical Tribute to the Man and his Music" was born....

Among those tracks was Fly Me to the Moon. Thanks to Sinatra, Lawrence was able to record his vocals accompanied by the Orchestrations of Don Costa....
